Review: Playing the Point by Stephani Hecht

"Stephani Hecht takes us back into the world of hockey with her latest story in her Blue Line Hockey Series, Playing the Point."

All his life, Zimon has lived in his older brother’s shadow.  When he returned from the military, Zimon found himself out of control and in danger.  When his brother falls in love,  Zimon finds himself helping his brother and his brother’s lover manage an ice rink.  Zimon resolves to work hard and get his life on track and while managing an ice rink was never his dream, it is much better than working as a shot-boy at a gay club.

Bryce Miller never thought he would invest in an old rink but that is exactly what he and a group of friends did.   In town, he decides to check out his investment.  Walking in, he immediately clashes with the man at the front desk.  Bryce finds himself annoyed and intrigued with this bratty, yet very hot young man.

Stephani Hecht shows us once again how to address prickly and serious issues with Playing the Point.   Zimon had led his life too close to the line.  Now he needed to straighten out and take a new path.  Bryce is not sure what to think of the brat at the front desk when he walks in.  One thing he does know is that he want to learn more.  With Playing the Point, you will find some laughter and some tears. You will also find that with love, anything is possible.  Playing the Point by Stephani Hecht is another tale for the keeper shelf.
