Review: The Wiccan Haus 3: An Apple Away by Kate Richards

"In the third book of the multi-author The Wiccan Haus series, Kate Richards takes a girl who is virtually on her deathbed and gives her a reason to live."

Aislinn Gallagher is dying.  A sudden illness is rapidly deteriorating her body.  After seeing numerous doctors and specialists and undergoing worthless surgeries, no one can discover what is wrong with Aislinn.  The Wiccan Haus, with its homeopathic cures, is Aislinn’s only hope.  While hoping for a cure Aislinn enjoys the peace and beauty of the spa and the people she meets there.  A handsome businessman arrived at Wiccan Haus at the same time and the chemistry between them was strong.  Aislinn also found herself having sexual feelings for one of the spa’s female employees.  When the owners of the spa tell her that her illness is caused by a witch’s spell, Aislinn cannot believe it.  The biggest shock, however, is the identity of the witch responsible.  With the help of the Wiccan Haus staff and her new friends, can Aislinn break the spell?

Dr. Hugo Peralta did not want to take out of his busy schedule to take a vacation, but the hospital administrator insisted.  The Wiccan Haus is a pleasant surprise once he gets over his inability to reach the outside world.  He is drawn to his beautiful neighbor, Aislinn.  She suffers from some unknown disease that is killing her.  Hugo wants to help her but her in his bed more.  Aislinn hates all doctors.  If he wants to get to know her better he must play the part of the businessman and forget his medical training while he is at Wiccan Haus.  When Hugo meets the spa’s masseuse his body responds to the exotic beauty.  Aislinn or Punda…Which woman will Hugo try to seduce?

Pundaricam, called Punda by her friends, is a lion shifter and works as the Wiccan Haus’ masseuse.  Punda is attracted to both Aislinn and Hugo.  Aislinn’s will to live speaks to Punda and she hopes the staff at Wiccan Haus can help her heal.  Hugo’s body sets Punda’s blood on fire.  Punda learns who is trying to harm Aislinn and she will not let the witch harm her friend again.  Are Aislinn and Hugo sexually attracted to Punda?

In the third book of the multi-author The Wiccan Haus series, Kate Richards takes a girl who is virtually on her deathbed and gives her a reason to live.  The powerful beings that run the Wiccan Haus are Aislinn’s only hope for a future.  They identify the source of the spell killing her, but Aislinn, Hugo and Punda must work together to break it.   Ms. Richards builds the tension between Aislinn, Hugo and Punda slowly and the payoff is explosive.  Will the evil trying to destroy Aislinn find a way to reach her at the Wiccan Haus?
