Review: Undercover Embassy 1: Codename Autumn by Aubrey Ross
Autumn becomes an Ambassador, a fancy name for prostitute. The Embassy is a brothel by a Madam who is treated like a Queen. Autumn secretly enjoys pain, so she becomes a whipping girl. No one can have sex with her but her body can be punished. When she receives a dangerously severe whipping, a Protectorate officer rescues her. Autumn fears she will never know pleasure again, but finds herself drawn to the strong man who saves her life. When her Madam learns his identity, she orders Autumn to seduce him. Autumn wants him but refuses to be a pawn for the Madam’s political ambitions. Will Autumn give in to her desire in spite of her resolve?
General Ra’jen Noirte leads the armies of The Protectorate. He is powerful and has a lot of influence. Ra’jen returns early from a mission to find his men witnessing the whipping of a bound woman. Ra’jen sees the serious wounds on the woman’s body and is furious. Why did his men allow the beating to continue? She may be an Ambassador, but no one should have to suffer such treatment. Ra’jen rescues her and heals her wounds. He finds himself attracted to her, but he does not pay for sex. When Autumn confesses that her Madam wants her to seduce him, Ra’jen knows that she is honest. He has plans for the pretty Ambassador. Ra’jen may be the General of the Army, but he hates the Gathosians. They destroyed his home world. As an Ambassador, Autumn can get into places no one else can. The fact that he craves her body does not hurt either. Can Ra’jen and Autumn form an alliance that will help the resistance conquer the Gathosians?
In the first book of the Undercover Embassy series, Aubrey Ross takes the reader to an Earth that is vastly changed. The remaining population are little more than slaves to the conquerors. Autumn becomes a prostitute because it is the safest job available. If she worked in the mines, males would rape her anyway. She might as well be paid to offer her body for pleasure. Ra’jen wants to make a difference, but as the General of the army of The Protectorate he follows orders. Autumn offers Ra’jen more than just sexual pleasure. She is the key to freedom. Ms. Ross takes the reader along as Ra’jen plans the seeds of rebellion using the fertile medium of sexual pleasure. The sex scenes are sinfully hot. Can Autumn give Ra’jen what he needs to undermine the enemy?
