Review: Fae Animus by Connie Wood

"Connie Wood takes the reader on a journey through a Hell unlike any known before."

Daray is a Fallen Angel, sent from heaven because he loved Halia.  His love condemns them both.  During a battle between Daray’s brethren and God’s Angels on one side and Lucifer and his Fallen Angels on the other, Lucifer killed Halia.  They win the war, but Daray’s life is now empty.  Daray learns that her soul did not go back to heaven as was promised.  Lucifer has Halia and he plans to keep her for himself.  Daray arranges to be sent to Hell to rescue her.  Can Daray save Halia from Lucifer?

Halia is shocked when she finds out that she is not in the afterlife promised to her.  After Lucifer kills her she ends up his prisoner.  Lucifer wants her and commands her body to desire him.  Halia finds herself drawn physically to Lucifer against her will.  Halia escapes him twice.  She knows she might not be lucky the third time.  She loves her husband, Daray, but how long can she hold out against Lucifer’s powers?  Will Daray find her in time?

Connie Wood takes the reader on a journey through a Hell unlike any known before.  Halia is locked in a battle of wits with Lucifer but she is beginning to weaken.  Daray wants to rescue her but no one is willing to help him.  Once he finally gets into Hell, he learns he cannot kill him because it would destroy all life.  Ms. Wood offers a no win situation that culminates in a surprise ending.  Keep the tissues handy for the ending of this book!
