Review: The Sixth Cursed Halloween by Mechele Armstrong

"No matter what topic Ms. Armstrong writes about, she is vivid in imagery and intense in passion."

The Sixth Cursed Halloween is a unique and interesting Halloween tale.  Mechele Armstrong’s characters are interesting and have unique personality quirks.  There is humor and irony abounding in this story.  Every bit of this story is infused with personality and passion.  If only there had been more true interaction between the main characters.  It is the only flaw in this fabulous tale.

Deidre has been cursed.  She is stuck inside a bonsai tree.  Brad has had the bonsai tree since he was fifteen.  After an argument with his girlfriend, Brad sits down to take care of his bonsai, what he doesn’t expect is for his bonsai tree to talk to him.  After finding out that a woman has been cursed into his tree, he vows to free her.  Only it is not that simple.  Halloween is the only time Deidre and Brad can talk to each other and every year Brad tries to find a way to free her from her imprisonment.  Now six years into their relationship, a woman in Brad’s life is going to turn both Deidre and Brad’s world on its axis and Deidre will have to choose between getting revenge on the people who put her in a tree to begin with or the new emotions she has found with Brad.Mechele Armstrong is a truly gifted author.  Her stories are always unique and passionate.  This is just another addition to a collection of stories that are gifts to be enjoyed over and over again.  No matter what topic Ms. Armstrong writes about, she is vivid in imagery and intense in passion.  I can not wait to see what she writes next.
