Review: Driving Force by Jo Andrews

"Ian has been fighting his attraction to Sierra for years, but just a glimpse of her pulls him tight as a cord."

Sierra Wallace never understood why Ian Raeder tormented her in high school, nor does she understand how even six years later he still finds a way to insert himself into her life and continues his taunting.  Now that Sierra is back in Wade County she has had enough, tired of hiding behind her fears she has begun to show the vibrancy and passion that has been hidden within, the only person to have ever seen the spark within was Ian.

Ian has been fighting his attraction to Sierra for years, but just a glimpse of her pulls him tight as a cord.  Ian is a leopard shifter and as a shifter that means humans are off limits, but everything about Sierra calls to him.  When Ian is attacked and lands on Sierra’s doorstep she puts their, what she thinks is mutual, disdain aside and nurses him back to health.  In doing so, Sierra has made herself a target and Ian is ready to show Sierra how deep his feelings for her really are.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, never had read Jo Andrews before but so glad I came across this one.  I thought the shifter story was unique, without giving too many spoilers it has a caveman quality to the origination of the shifters, which was quite exciting to read.   The tension between Sierra and Ian singes the pages, you know why Ian goads her from the beginning and although he is sending mixed signals you are cheering him on.  Fantastic read.
