Review: All-American Heroes: Snowed in with the Montana Ranger by Jan Bowles

"Ms. Bowles throws in two dangerous convicts, a deadly snowstorm, and mixes it generously with sizzling sex to produce a wonderful love story."

A man is the last thing on the mind of Professor Brooke Johnson.  She is in Glacier National Park in Montana on a research project.  On the way to her site, Brooke has a run in with a local Ranger and it is anger-at-first-sight.  Too bad he is such a hunk.  No matter where she turns she keeps running into the handsome Ranger.  Brooke learns that there are two dangerous escaped prisoners hiding somewhere in the Park.  Brooke arms herself and continues her work.  Returning to her cabin, Brooke comes across the fugitives trying to kill the Ranger.  Without thinking of the consequences, Brooke tries to save his life.  Will Brooke survive her selfless act?

Montana Ranger Travis McTeer is happy with his life just the way it is.  He does not need a woman to mess up his ordered existence.  When he meets Brooke Johnson, however, he cannot get her out of his mind.  She pushes all of his buttons in a bad way, but Brooke also excites him as no other woman ever has.  Travis cannot believe her bravery when Brooke attempts to save him from escaped convicts.  Together, Brooke and Travis manage to evade the criminals, but they are stranded together in a lookout tower in a severe snowstorm.  Travis is injured, but his first thought is protecting Brooke.  Will they make it through the storm?

Jan Bowles takes two people who do not like each other when they first meet and crafts a love story that burns off the pages of this book.  Brooke still suffers from the betrayal of her ex-husband and does not trust men.  Travis has his own trust issues where women are concerned.  Ms. Bowles throws in two dangerous convicts, a deadly snowstorm, and mixes it generously with sizzling sex to produce a wonderful love story.  Can Brooke and Travis overcome their trust issues and learn to love again?
