Review: Hell Cop by Ginn Hale, Nicole Kimberling and Astrid Amara

"Astrid Amara, Nicole Kimberling and Ginn Hale combine their talents to produce three delectable tales guaranteed to raise your temperature. Hell Cop is sure to please those of us who love variety."

All three stories are set in Parmas City where demons and sorcerers live together with humans.

Astrid Amara pens Next of Kin, an emotional, heartbreaking tale with a wonderful ending.  Brian is new to Parmas City and has only worked three days at the hospital when disaster strikes.  A dozen children are brought in, the only ones who survived an attack by demons at a day care center.  As Brian moves through the emergency room getting names, he finds Detective Jay Yervant.  Jay appears to have flames surrounding him and Brian is drawn to his despair.  It was Jay who was one of those who responded to the call at the day care center.  While he did save some children, his partner was severely injured.  Jay’s life has not been easy.  His powers are so strong that they burn everyone who touches him but for some reason not Brian.  As Jay investigates the attack, he finds his case crosses Brian again and again and in fact, Brian may be part of the case itself. He will need to solve the case quickly if he is to keep Brian alive and in his life.

The next tale is Red Sands by Nicole Kimberling.  Anthropologist Michael Gold, a half demon, returns home from research when he finds his cousin’s body arrives through the portal with him, making him a prime suspect.  The powerful and sexy Detective Argent is assigned to investigate the murder.  Michael had intimate contact with Argent in the past and now he is not sure if Argent intends to prosecute him or save him.  One thing is certain, Michael needs to find out who murdered his cousin, trashed his apartment and to where his father has disappeared.  He must do all this while trying to figure out Argent.

The final tale is Touching Sparks by Ginn Hale.  James Sparks stumbled onto an underground world of gambling, demon fighting and misused sorcery.  Sickened by the blood and cruelty, he is determined to put a stop to it.  To do this, he turns to Detective Ben Moran, who used to live near James.  James took on the dangerous task of becoming an informant for him.  Their attraction to each other grows just a sharply as the danger, but first they must battle danger from close sources as well as dangerous demons.

Hell Cop takes us to a world populated with some amazing men in the form of Hell Cops.  Alpha to the core, they are not afraid of their desire for their mates.  Each story is unique, and tells a tale not only of danger and betrayal but also of emotion, romance and love. An amazing collection from a group of amazing authors, Hell Cop and their realistic sympathetic and loveable cast of characters will satisfy your need for romance and suspense and leave looking for more of Parmas City.
