Review: Wolfsblood 3: Shadow Wolf by Marteeka Karland
Rikker cannot believe that a lone female is fighting the snow beasts while most of her pack hides from the confrontation. Rikker recognizes her as his mate and fights at her side until the snow beasts are conquered. Rikker wants to claim Leiah as his mate but she rejects his claim. She will not leave her pack to be with him. The only way they can be together is if Rikker stays with her and helps her defend her pack. Can Leiah and Rikker reach a compromise that will allow the two Shadow Wolves to be together?
In the third book of the Wolfsblood series, Marteeka Karland introduces two Shadow Wolves who should be mates. Leiah’s responsibilities are more important to her than a mate is. If Rikker wants to her to be part of his life, he must come to terms with her priorities. Ms. Karland explores what is more important: love or one’s responsibility. Rikker and Leiah are perfectly matched and cannot deny that they want each other, but for Leiah her people come first. Is Rikker willing to become part of Leiah’s pack and fight by her side to protect her people or will they go their separate ways?
