Review: Lifting the Veil 1: The Wolfing Way by Susan Laine

"Susan Laine embarks on a new series with Lifting the Veil 1: The Wolfing Way. This promises to be an exciting series."

Kris Ellis will graduate from college soon and plans to continue his education.  His plans do not include an arranged marriage.  He thought those were things of the past and they were until the Great Unveiling.  Now, a routine medical test has led to the discovery that Kris has a mate – werewolf Rafael King.  Kris refuses to even consider the possibility.  He has his own plans and they do not include someone he has never met.  Then Rafe calls him and Kris decides to meet this person who has waited two hundred years for his soul mate.  When they meet, Kris finds Rafe to be sexy and desirable but they are so different that sparks of another sort fly as well.  The life of a werewolf can be dangerous and Kris is not sure he can handle it.

Kris has a very hard time coming to grips with an arranged marriage.  Rafe’s phone call intrigued him enough to finally agree to a meeting.  Instant attraction occurred but still there is danger to Kris in a world he does not know and Rafe is not sure he can ask Kris to put his life on the line.  I enjoyed the concept Susan Laine used for her story.  What would happen if a veil lifted and we found another world out there?  A world with different rules and a new way of doing things?  Read The Wolfing Way by Susan Laine to find out the answer to some of those questions.  Her new series promises to be fun and fascinating with books that will capture our interest.
