Review: Indelibly Intimate by Regina Cole

"Hammer doesn’t know what it is about the woman he has nicknamed Sparky, but she is hell on wheels from the get go."

Quinn LaBrea is struggling to find a balance, with the bill collectors at her door thanks to an ex that walked out without any explanation and left her holding the bag.  As if she didn’t feel raw enough the tattoo on her leg with his initial is a constant reminder of her poor choices.   When she bumps into Hamilton “Hammer” Dean and he offers to help her with her problem, she is weary of his intentions but decides to accept.

Hammer doesn’t know what it is about the woman he has nicknamed Sparky, but she is hell on wheels from the get go.  Hammer realizes she has been hurt, but he wants to get to know her more intimately and comes up with a plan to get her to realize the chemistry between them is real.  Have Quinn assist him at the Inktastic Tattoo  Convention where they will be together, in close quarters and Hammer will have a chance to get Quinn to see that he is worth her trust.

Exceptional read, very quickly paced.  I liked Hammer a lot, he gets stung a bit by Quinn while he tries to get her comfortable with him, he is determined to show her they are good together.  I thought the story was realistic and you definitely felt Quinn’s conflicting emotions about moving forward.  Fantastic story.
