Cyn Elder was having a rough day at her family shoe store “The Glass Slipper.” Her life has been far from a fairy tale especially after her father’s girlfriend and her two daughters became a part of Cyn’s life. She was raised to believe it was her duty to take care of her family first before herself, however, this was becoming an enormous challenge since her father decided to enlarge the family.

Parker Maguire is a Hollywood celebrity, he is bored of the meaningless one night stands, the noisy club nights and of being surrounded by people that always want something from him. He desperately needs something more in his life, even if he is not sure what that is or how to go about getting it.

The storyline may be familiar in this story but with the characterization the similarities stop there. Lena Mathews wisely portrays each character in this story to make a vivid and memorable contribution that makes this simple story amazingly enjoyable. This is one of those books that you will want to read for pure undiluted fun.
