Crystal Miller has been having sexy fantasies about her GAY friends Bryn and Kai for as long as she has known the couple. “If only” seems to be the refrain most often heard in her head when considering these two. Alas, she is dating the horse’s rump, Geoff, and not one of her devastatingly sexy friends; though it appears that everyone’s “true colors” are about to be revealed during a boat party.

Bryn Murchison is suave, confident, self-assured and completely comfortable in his open relationship with Kai. His empathic ability ensures that Crystal’s fantasies are not quite as private as she would like; even so, she is one of his and Kai’s best friends. He thinks Geoff is worthless and that Crystal could do much better, perhaps as a third with him and Kai?

Kai Murdoch is the one with the rebel bad-boy image and wardrobe. Having been hurt in the past has him a bit relationship shy. So his relationship with Bryn might be considered odd. As would his interest in Crystal. Can this bad-boy be tamed or is he meant to break hearts?

Liquid Crystal by Lynne Connolly is a sweet little morsel of a decadent adventure into sensuality and espionage. With two leading men delicious and dangerous enough to have most females in a tizzy of longing, nothing is left to chance. Crystal is sweet and resilient; though a bit clueless. Kai and Bryn are sexy and perfect for each other and Crystal. The supporting characters are interesting enough to pique my curiosity and cause me to wish for their love stories without creating a distraction or taking away from the main characters. It is one whopper of a good story with an almost perfect ending; though revealing my version of perfect would count as a spoiler. Ms. Connolly is a master at creating interesting, mind catching characters in a sentence or two. Well done, Ms. Connolly. I am hoping to see Grady and Serafino starring in their own Department 57 love stories.
