Breaking the Silence is a beautiful story of love and finding one’s self.  The characters are unique and intriguing.  Their story is rather timeless and the passion they share is intoxicating.  There is a simple joy in reading a novel that captivates the senses and makes a person stop everything around them in order to complete the story.  Katie Allen’s writing is a true joy.  Without a doubt this is a must watch author.

Jenny’s love life is at an all time low.   Her only potential suitor is her creepy coworker Evan.  Every day she walks her dog along a path near her home.  On one fateful evening walking her dog, she meets William a man who lives in one of the homes along the path.  William is everything she could ever wish for in a man, handsome and sweet.  When he asks her out a date, she can’t refuse.  William has seen Jenny walking her dog and has been captivated by the beautiful woman.  Together, Jenny and William will explore their feelings and come together to face life.  When a horrific attack on Jenny tears her world apart, William is there to help her pick up the pieces.  With William’s help, Jenny will come to terms to what has happened and hopefully find love and happiness with the perfect man for her.

Katie Allen’s story is a work of beauty.  The characters are charming and strong.  There is never a point where you want to put the story down and walk away.  This is a strong work of love and redemption that will leave the reader breathless.  I look forward to the next story from this gifted author.
