Open Season by Crystal Jordan is the kind of story that not everyone will enjoy but it was a magnificent and totally compelling tale that will leave any reader feeling invigorated but also overwhelmed by its content. I loved Leigh and her courage to leave not only her abusive ex-fiancé but also to find a man who would not only protect her but also show her what loving and caring about someone actually was, even for a shape shifter. I really enjoyed Aiden because he went that extra mile to make Leigh feel safe for the first time in years, to make sure her future was as bright as he could make it. This book has a powerful message in its pages but it also is about finding love when you least expect it, discovering that love is about making sure the ones you love are safe and sound, and not used and abused.
