Chastity’s is intrigued by a possible diversion as she receives a secret note suggesting a rendezvous with the mysterious outrider she had been watching earlier. Finding the outlander to irresistible to ignore, Chastity succumbs to her desires. Angelia Sparrow and Naomi Brooks have brought an alternative history tale with a fantasy twist to life. A subplot with the Aunt adds more energy to the already attention-grabbing story, making the read even more enjoyable.

Climbing The Corporate Ladder Without Panties by Courtney Bee

Kate and Brad have been teasing each other for months with fierce quips and suggestive looks at the magazine the both work for. Despite Brad’s suggestions to take it to the next level, Kate has always considered the matter off limits for several reasons, they were co-workers, and the fact that she had her life planned out and Brad was not part of it. Unfortunately for Kate, a new wrinkle in her life plan has steered her off course leading her to face a few facts about herself. Brad seeing a distraught Kate comes to her rescue, teaching her a few things about giving into her desires and letting down her hair. Courtney Bee writes a delectable short story that will delight readers. I found myself smiling throughout with likeable characters and steamy situations.

Eight Seconds by Sherry James

Taylor Westfall is facing another lonely tumultuous winter at Rocky Creek Ranch caring for the animals and land, as a diversion Taylor writes erotic novels although her personal life was lacking any type of erotic. Taylor has had a crush on local bad boy Devlin McCord for eight long years, she hatches a plan to try and seduce Devlin. Unexpectedly that plan shows up on her doorstep and Taylor is at a loss for words. Sherry James writes an electrifying tale about Devlin and Taylor’s whose chemistry so sizzling it sets the pages on fire. A quick read that melted my heart.

Pitch Black by Fiona Jayde

Kate returns to the Ukraine after eighteen years as an operative of the ISC pretending to be an American translator, Rippling with excitement over being out in the field, she finds herself attracted to Nicholai who is a bodyguard for the company oligarch she is translating for. Kate finds herself in a bit of a bind when the power goes out in the elevator the two are inhabiting together. Being too close for comfort is hard to ignore as the attraction between the two is too intense to ignore, and Nicholas has a secret of his own. The action does not stop in the elevator as the story takes you for a ride along the way. Fiona Jayde writes a sultry spy story with a twist. Captivating characters with magnetism makes it difficult to take your eyes off the pages. I enjoyed the twist to this story and look forward to reading more of Fiona Jayde’s work.

Shifting Sides by Cheryl Dragon

Breman is a dragon shifter who has longed to see Kiren, a cat shifter, since she left for New Earth. The government had taken several shape shifters to new earth for experimentation and to claim artifacts from Old Earth when needed. Kiren returns to Old Earth and find Breman who desires her above all. They had been together before but only under the watch of scientists for experimentation purposes, Breman want to pleasure Kiren in ways she has never been introduced to before. Kiren responds and lets her inhibitions go, Breman desperately wants her to free herself and stay with him, but Kiren is torn by her loyalty to her crew and the unfortunate things that will happen if she does not return to them. Cheryl Dragon takes an unusual twist to shifter stories and catapulting it into a fantasy realm. Highly entertaining and the sensual interaction between Breman and Kiren is sure to please. Another stellar read from Cheryl Dragon.

One of the delights in reading a series of short stories is you get a sampling of authors who are new to you. Every story was intriguing and I would pick up other works by each of the authors in a heartbeat. I thoroughly enjoyed Flavors of Ecstasy Volume 3, I hope there is soon a Volume 4.
