Review: A Night In Sin City by Amy Redwood

"Susannah Gardner's knows what she wants for her birthday, and she is flying to Vegas to get it."

Susannah Gardner’s birthday is tomorrow, all of her family and friends will be out of town leaving her by herself. Susannah overhears her brother talking to Brian, declining an offer to go to Vegas. Susannah has carried a icy torch for Brian since he rebuffed her at her fifteenth birthday party, with Brian saying to try again in ten years. Susannah’s birthday makes it ten years later, Susannah hacks into her brother’s computer, pretends to be him and shoots off an email to Brian asking him to show her the sights.

Brian is not very pleased with the request to be a tour guide, remembering Susannah as a temper tamper throwing young girl. Brian is in a state of shock when he sees Susannah again, not quite the teenage geek her remembers, now she is svelte and drop dead gorgeous. Susannah is trying to ruffle Brian’s feathers every chance she gets, with slight innuendos dropping off her tongue leaving Brian wanting to ravish her at every turn. Brian is conflicted by his friendship with her brother and his desire to be with Susannah. Which path will Brian choose? The reader is in store for a lot of fireworks with A Night in Sin City.

Amy Redwood has written a searing page turner with an exuberant leading lady who is going to get what she wants for her birthday. I enjoyed A Night in Sin City, a fun read for a quiet day at home.
