Review: Raging Passions by Amanda Sidhe

"Rage finds herself questioning everything about her life as a vampire, when a person from the past resurfaces thanks to her master."

Ripper has summoned his offspring Rage, ordering her to kill a human vampire slayer. Rage carries around a tremendous amount of anger towards men, leaving every man a victim to her wrath. Ripper is waiting for her with two of his other offspring Dean and Shade, who watch with amusement. Rage knows Ripper is setting her up, but is not sure how until the vampire slayer confronts her. Rage sees Caden, who had stood her up at the alter in her human life and broke her heart when she was human.

Rage finds herself in the precarious situation of loyalty to her sire or to the man who abandoned her six years ago. Defying a direct order Dean interferes on Rage’s behalf and asks for Ripper to give her time to warm up to the idea of killing Caden. Rage is caught off guard by Dean’s kindness and the jeopardy he has put himself into. Dean’s injuries are severe and is in need of help, Rage decides to aid him being careful not cause any more pain then he had already endured in the hands of Ripper.

As the story unfolds Rage must confront her unresolved feelings for Caden, her new found understanding of Ripper, and a interesting attraction to Dean. Releasing her inner rage she finds herself able to move past her hate for men and begin to appreciate what life has to offer.

Raging Passions is filled with layers of imaginative story line. I was captivated from the first few pages of Rage’s story and where it would lead. Amanda Sidhe has written a spellbinding tale with complex characters and a plot that is fresh and different for paranormal fans. I look forward to reading other Amanda Sidhe titles, a genuine treasure to read.
