Review: Saved by Love’s Blood by Stephani Hecht

Ethan was born a strong warlock and always taught that vampires are the enemy. This changes when new threats surface and the two groups must form a alliance, including his half brother who is a vampire. Ethan is also drawn to a vampire warrior named Zeke but Zeke who had been brutalized by a witch in the past rejects him. Now Ethan lies weak, bloodied and broke, captured by the enemy and serving as food for the vampires. Ethan wants to die as he knows no one will come looking for him, not his mother, not the Drone Vampires, nor the one man he cannot stop thinking about even though he rejected him. Ethan does not know that a rescue is being planned but will it be in time?

Zeke is going crazy with the delays in the rescue of Ethan. He wants to go now and is sure if not they will be too late. When they locate him, Zeke is the first in, only to find the dying, broken Ethan in time to hear his last words. Zeke cannot allow this to happen and knows his blood will save him. After all it is love’s blood, but how will Ethan react to becoming that which he was raised to hate?

This was my first story in the Drone Vampire Chronicles. After devouring Saved by Love’s blood, I decided to get all the other books in this series. Ethan was incredible as the hero. With all he had suffered he deserved to find his mate. Zeke too was not without his own past. Both needed to deal with those pasts and heal. It was together that they could. Stephanie Hecht has included all the best elements in this book – true love, suspense, intrigue, and more than a few surprises. Saved By Love’s Blood will not disappoint any reader looking for a fantastic MM book.
