Review: Sympathy by Jordan Castillo Price

After an accident that claimed his father’s life, Anthony Potosi spent years recovering and beating the odds by learning to walk again. He is back working again in the family landscaping business with his two older brothers. Neither one thinks he should continue to work in the business and are trying to convince him to sell his share. As children, his brothers treated him the same and terrorized him with tales surrounding an old house in town, a tale that gave that house its name, Hook House. Now that house has a new owner, David Dean, and Tony’s brothers are only too happy to send him. Now Tony has to face his childhood fears but all his adult fears involving trust and love when the owner turns out to be a desirable man, a man who is also interested in him.

Jordan Castillo Price weaves a beautiful tale with Sympathy. A man damaged by his past and given the opportunity to heal by finding new love. Developing a tender and loving relationship was difficult for Tony but with David’s help, he was willing to try. The title is deceptive. So be sure and read the end to fully understand it. Once again, Jordan Castillo Price has penned a memorable, realistic tale designed to appeal to our senses and our emotions.
