Review: Family Unit by Z.A. Maxfield

""

Z.A. Maxfield’s Family Unit proves that age is just a number and people can find love no matter how old they are or what their experiences have been.  With a cast of characters that will endear themselves to the readers, Family Unit has drama, suspense, love and passion.  The amazing depth of emotion that is captured in this novel is intense and amazingly real.

Logan is a retired marine.  He is methodical and follows routine and order in his everyday life.  Richard is a grandfather with a fear of guns and a love for photography.  When Logan first sees Richard, he finds himself falling for the gentle man who is parenting his grandson, Nick.  Richard is determined to take care of Nick and give him the type of stable upbringing that he missed out on the first few years of his life.  When an unexpected twist leaves Richard fighting for his grandson, it will take everything that Richard and Logan have in order to bring Nick home safely.  Love, passion, patience and so much more will be needed if Logan and Richard are ever to have a chance at being together.

Z.A. Maxfield proves once again that even through the most trying circumstances, love can be found.  Family Unit is a beautifully crafted novel that will bring tears to the eyes and make you laugh at the same time.  This is definitely a novel not to be missed.  With another 4 star winner, Z.A. Maxfield has cemented herself as a force in erotic, gay romances.  I can not wait to read whatever she has in store for us next.
