Alec Whitley and Detective Cooper Thomas had been together ten years ago when one day  Alec disappeared without a word. Now he is back in Cooper’s life and wants to talk about what happened ten years ago with the goal of being together now. There are several road blocks Alec will need to address if he is to be successful. First, Cooper is refusing to discuss the past with Alex and, second, Cooper’s current case is very time consuming. He must find a killer who is eliminating gay men. Before the case is resolved, both men with have to face their past – together if they are to live.

Cooper was a delightful part of A Promise Kept and deserves his own story. Stormy Glenn gives us that story in a way that cannot be forgotten. These two are perfect together but have some many issues that need to be resolved. They can only do this together, especially when fate has a way of making resolutions almost impossible. The twist and turns and surprises in A Promise Given make for a promise on the part of Stormy Glenn – extreme enjoyment of another excellent story.
