Review: The Solotary Knights of Pelham Bay: Stardust by Claire Thompson
When Gordon Flanders and Dennis Wilson respond to an emergency call, Gordon gets his chance to try again with the one that got away. At a party gone wild, Gordon saves actor Ben Ryder, his former lover, from a fiasco which could negatively impact his acting career. Allowing him to hide for the day in his apartment, Gordon plans a romantic dinner which he hopes will lead to so much more. When Ben’s true nature comes out and Gordon’s heart is broken, it is Dennis who picks up the pieces. Dennis has wanted Gordon for some time but, since Gordon did not want work relationships, he never pushed. Will this be Dennis’s chance? Or will Gordon only turn to him on the rebound? When the stardust clears, will Gordon see what is right in front of him? As Claire Thompson has ably demonstrated in this series, going back can be wonderful and it can be a disaster. She has also shown that sometimes what you want is right in front of your eyes – you just have to be open to seeing it. Claire Thompson’s writing is so beautiful you can see and feel the happenings along with the two heroes. The Solitary Knights of Pelham Bay has been a series to cherish and save to reread in the future. Each story unique with something more to offer, be sure and pick up this series. Claire Thompson will not disappoint her readers.
