Review: Dead Men Get No Tail by Misty Malone

"With humor and passion, Misty Malone tells a captivating, exciting tale with Dead Men Get No Tail."

Jack’s college time is coming to an end and as he looks back on it, he realizes he has not left behind a legacy.  He decides to fake his own funeral in an effort to find his legacy.  He is sure his friend will all come with stories to share that will serve as his building blocks.  All his friends are supportive of the prank except for his best friend and room mate, Clay.  Clay is not sure why it disturbs him so much.  Maybe it is the feelings that come whenever he thinks of Jack.  Jack would have no interest in him.  His conquests among the women are legion and legendary.  Will Clay express his feelings or will they go the way of every funeral and be buried?

Dead Men Get No Tail was such a fun book to read.  Peeking in on your own funeral is not something we would all want to do; mainly because we may not want to learn what people really think.  Clay was an appealing character as he tried to work out his issues with his feelings for Jack.  Some of his actions will have you both laughing and crying for him.  Jack is someone we all know, a smart ass, but there is so much more to him under the surface.  You will enjoy getting to know him.  Dead Men Get No Tail was a delight from beginning to end.  Misty Malone is one author I will be watching.  This was my first tale by her and I know it will not be my last.
