Review: Breaking Free by Anya Richards

"Widower Claire Montjoye has been on the outskirts of society since her husbands death but when she meets Xavier Westbourne, he has no desire to listen to the murmurings but wants to find out more about the woman who is invading his dreams."

Widower Claire Montjoye has been on the outskirts of society thanks to the despicable deeds that her husband inflicted, often at her cost.  Lonely and deciding perhaps it may be time to take a lover, she knows the timing is right when she ends up in the arms of Xavier Westbourne.  Claire opens Xavier to the delights she has longed for and to push Xavier to embrace what she has to offer.

Xavier is thinking of remarrying knowing his young son needs a mother.  Never one to put much credence into society’s rules, Xavier is not easily pushed away when it comes to Claire, knowing that she is the one he wants to be with for eternity.

Breaking Free is a seductive story that tangles it’s web of betrayal, seduction, and love and pulls the reader in.   Beautifully written with your heart reaching out to Claire and her journey to move past all the difficulties she faced in the past and come to accept herself as she is. A definite keeper for your library.
