Micah knows he is very lucky. His human family is back with him and he has a man he can love and who loves him. He knows, though, that life is tenuous with bounties on both his and Ozzie’s head. He realizes that in order to reduce some of the risks that he must become the very thing he hates to keep his lover safe. But taking that step has now put him at odds with his clan and most of all with Ozzie. Feeling rejected and alone, Micah feels as if he had lost everything. Will he be able to redeem himself and have his lover back? Or has he lost everything?

Micah had always felt less than helpful. He came up with a plan to help but wound up in so much trouble, he needed help himself. Dante appeared in Retribution in Blood and we easily find ourselves falling in love with him. The role he has taken on is incredible and he helps keep everyone together. Ozzie and Micah have a ways to go but they are back on track. The Drone Vampire Series continues to grow and amaze with the depth, suspense, and beauty of the stories. Depth and suspense come from the plot while the beauty comes from the love in the relationships between couples and within the clan as a family. Stephani Hecht is a talented author with stories to tell that the readers can’t wait to devour.
