Review: In The Runes: Seventh Sense by Lia Sebastian

"A fantastic novel of discovering that not everything in this world can be explained."

Erin doesn’t believe in the extraordinary or paranormal yet she’s now discovering that not everything can be explained especially as she’s now trusting the voice inside her head, the one that’s protecting her from harm, one that seems to be connected to the ring she has just brought. She now needs someone to tell her what the ring is and that someone is Luke, a man who knows more than he’s telling her. But she needs to learn the truth, fast, because someone is hunting for her and the ring she now possesses; can she trust those that are her friends? Or are they too true to be believed?

In The Runes: The Seventh Sense by Lia Sebastian is a danger filled supernatural tale of a mystical ring and the lengths some people will go to get it from its owner. I found this book really good, I loved the premise of a ring that could and would protect its wearer from any and all harm. I also enjoyed the characters, especially Erin and Luke, their search for answers as well as their budding romance made this tale all that much more enjoyable. I liked that Luke found Erin a challenge in some ways but also that he would protect her when he could. I also loved Erin’s reactions to everything happening around her, she didn’t believe in the paranormal but in time she ended up being a believer. This book is a fantastic novella of discovering that not everything in this world can be explained, no matter how much you don’t believe in the extraordinary.
