With its hunky cowboy hero and spirited heroine, the resulting story is beyond sexy yet also profoundly moving. Patrice Michelle is particularly skilled in portraying the intimacy between a couple with plenty of heart, and this story showcases her ability to the fullest.

When her parents wanted to take a much needed vacation away from their bed and breakfast business, Deidre Nelson is glad to leave New York for awhile and watch the Flying Wind while they are gone. However, this unfortunately means she will also be seeing Jonas Mendez again after not coming back home for ten years. Although there was an immense attraction between Jonas and Deidre when they knew each other when he was a wrangler on her ranch, neither acted upon their undeclared desires because of their principles. This did not keep them from frequently remembering the other person, nor did it keep them from dreaming of how it would be sexually between them if they ever in fact got together.

With his hurtful past affecting how he now lives, Jonas has much to overcome before he can ever completely trust anyone again and let them get close. When he and Deidre encounter each other for the first time in ten years, they each sense the attraction is still very much alive, yet they are apprehensive when it comes to actually speaking of their feelings. When the ongoing vandalism at the bed and breakfast establishment escalates, Jonas, who is now the town’s sheriff, feels he must watch over Deidre to keep her safe. This could lead to them revealing how they presently feel for each other, if they are willing to take a risk.

Regardless of the genre, Patrice Michelle creates stories with compelling plots and appealing main characters. Her readers have come to anticipate being drawn into the tightly woven storylines cleverly imagined by this talented author. From the opening paragraph of ANTICIPATION, you will be treated to a story concerning an unforgettable couple facing challenging issues, ones which will deeply influence their present lives and even their futures. This notable story also shows how the past of an individual often still controls their lives, where happiness constantly seems to elude them. The memorable pairing of Jonas and Deidre is beautifully executed by Ms. Michelle, as these two do not consider themselves having a chance of ever establishing a real relationship. Even though this couple never made known their longing for each other when they were younger, they have each fantasized about them being together for ten long years. When their lusty fantasies turn into reality, the moment is powerfully portrayed with heartfelt emotions fueled by their pent-up passions. The way Jonas and Deidre held on to their principles in the past and the present is very admirable, and their strong convictions make them even more endearing. Any conversations between these two are sincerely honest and also often sprinkled with sharp humor. ANTICIPATION is a love story filled with passionate caring and the power of true emotions.
