Review: Lights, Camera…Monsters by Lila Dubois

""

Lila Dubois’ Lights, Camera… Monsters was an amazing new paranormal novel. The world she has created is so different from many of the others out there that it draws the reader in with its freshness. The characters are diverse in their appeal and the author does a fabulous job creating drama and heartfelt emotions not only in the writing but also in the reader. This is a must read novel for anyone who loves a good, strong paranormal romance.

When the monsters need a makeover, the best place to go is Hollywood. Luke is determined to save his people. He is convinced that the only way to teach humans about his kind is through television and the movies. With friends at his side and in a brand new human body, they head to Hollywood in search of someone willing to tell their story. Here he finds Lena, a rising Hollywood producer. She can tell a good story when she sees one but to her Luke is just another good looking amateur. Throwing caution to the wind, Lena invites Luke out to dinner and ends up being seduced by the gorgeous man. When Lena wakes up after a night of amazing sex, she finds herself in bed with a monster, quite literally. No matter what, Lena is determined to help Luke save his people, but there are other monsters who are not interested in having themselves exposed. Together they are going to have to face down an unknown threat and still produce a stunning expose of the monsters.

This first book in the Monsters in Hollywood series is definitely worth reading. The characters are captivating and the story is fresh. Lights, Camera… Monsters is a definite addition to the must have, must read book list. I am looking forward to the next book with bated breath. The remaining monsters that we met seem to be just as strong as Luke and I look forward to reading their stories.
