Review: Dawg Town: Puppy Dawg by Camille Anthony

"Need a quick pick-me-up? This will do it."

Carly Brothers is just now recovering from some hard knocks life threw her way and Barkus, Kansas, is her chosen place to start her new life.  The shy, overweight librarian is very much attracted to the tall and solidly built school teacher, Quentin Mosely.  But she has doubts that he would be attract to a woman ten years his senior and barren to boot.

Prairie dog shifter Quen is already in love with the new human librarian but is deathly afraid of speaking, much less admitting his love, to the black beauty.   Will these two lonely souls finally find their way to each other?  Yes, with a little bit of help from his friends.

Puppy Dawg retells the story of Quen and Carly in flash back.  This popcorn tale has some touching moments and some hilarious schemes that Quen’s family and friends put them through to get them together.  This book is just one of many in the Dawg Town series.  I enjoyed it; I think you will too.
