Black Wolf is a wonderful novella that explores passion and love even through diversity and pain. The story is short but beautifully written and full of strong emotions and passionate interludes. This is the kind of story that makes a reader feel what the author is describing and makes one more sympathetic even as it entertains and delights. The heady mix of empathy, passion and humor mark this as a book not to be missed.

Adam Bates is in trouble. He’s penniless, being threatened by his landlord, and he’s late for work at his new job. Adam is expecting to be chastened by his boss, but what he doesn’t expect is Cody to provide him with a protector. Marcus Black has just arrived at Del Fantasma after his latest black ops mission. He’s ready for some R and R, but he won’t refuse Cody when he asks him to help a little tabby cat. When Adam is threatened by his landlord in front of Marcus, he refuses to stand by as if nothing happened. When all is said and done Adam and Marcus are going to experience more than they ever baragained for.

Jade Buchanan has proven time and again that she is a gifted author but Black Wolf is definitely a must read from this author. The story is fresh and invigorating. The idea of shifters never gets old when it is written with such flair and precision. This is definitely a got to have novella by a must read author.
