Review: The Red Thread of Forever Love by Nicole Kimberling

"Culture and customs, love and passion collide in Nicole Kimberling’s The Red Thread of Forever Love."

Hank Caldwell has traveled to Japan to research a supernatural creature called yokai. A folklore researcher and PhD candidate, Hank hopes to gather up enough information to complete a book. Hank is certainly learning more than he bargained for when a yokai attaches himself to Hank, determined to make him his forever lover.

Daisuke Tachibana is traveling with Mr. Caldwell as his translator and guide. He knows all about the yokai after Hank. He must stop him but is not sure how. First he knows he must stop thinking about Mr. Caldwell’s delightful, naked body if he is to keep the yokai from him, an undertaking that baffles him as he can’t stop thinking about him.

The Red Thread of Forever Love is delightfully clever and filled with humor and heat. Hank and Tachibana both felt desire for the other but neither wanted to acknowledge it for fear of offending the other. Watching them dance around each other was fun to see. Nicole Kimberling brings to life Japan and its rich culture in the pages of The Red Thread of Forever Love, making it a story to enjoy not only for the story but for the picture it paints. Nicole Kimberling does a fantastic job of combining fun and laughter with culture and, of course, heat. The Red Thread of Forever Love is a story to cherish and if you want to know the meaning of the title, run out and pick this one up.
