Review: Savage Amusement by Kate Hill

"Kate Hill brings the reader a steamy relationship that is guaranteed to heat the blood of every reader."

Starla Midnight of Amazurn is a spaceship pilot. She is a contestant in the Speed of Light race, one of the most popular races in the galaxy. Her main opponent is the handsome Gunther Morningsky. Last year he infuriated her by laughing at her when her engine fizzled out before the race could begin. Determined to get the last laugh, Starla tries to sabotage Gunther’s engine. Unfortunately for Starla, Gunther catches her in the act. Gunther makes her an offer she cannot refuse. If she wants to race against him, she must make love to him.

Gunther Morningsky, a handsome alien crossbreed pilot, plans to win the Speed of Light race. Gunther also wants Starla Midnight. Gunther catches Starla trying to ruin his chances of winning the race by attempting to destroy his engine. He captures her and puts her in chains. Gunther offers her two choices if she wants her freedom. If she makes love to him he will release her in time for the race. If she refuses, however, he will hold her in his chains until after the race is over. Gunther knows he will win no matter which choice Starla makes.

Kate Hill brings the reader a steamy relationship that is guaranteed to heat the blood of every reader. Gunther understands Starla. He intends to possess her completely. Starla cannot deny that she is attracted to the handsome Gunther. Her world will never be the same after spending one night in the arms of Gunther Morningsky. The scalding love scenes will curl the toes of the reader and send him/her to the showers to cool down.
