Review: Season of Change: Summer, Hurricane Season by Loribelle Hunt

"A book lovers' of the shape-shifting genre should read."

Quinn Lassiter became a park ranger in the Florida Panhandle after the loss of his mate, needing the solitude to cope with his grief. Years later with a hurricane bearing down on the Panhandle he needs to do his job of securing and evacuating the park. But when escape is no longer an option he finds Celeste, his mate, unconscious and hurt but it can’t be her because she’s been dead for years. Now Quinn will discover the answers to the questions he wants to know and about the betrayal that has kept them apart for so long. But will the danger that is stalking Celeste keep them apart forever?

A sexy yet dangerously enticing tale of two lovers kept apart by betrayal and family love. I really enjoyed this book; it was eloquently bittersweet while also being a story of hope and survival. Reading about Quinn and Celeste and the obstacles they must overcome in order to be together again was like viewing a suspense thriller that you couldn’t stop watching. I enjoyed Quinn because he was an alpha male who blamed himself for something beyond his control and I really loved Celeste because she knew that being with her mate was the one thing that could make her happy. There are a multitude of emotions in this shape-shifting book ranging from betrayal, murder, surviving the elements, forgiveness and also learning to trust and love again.  Ms Hunt has been able to incorporate them all into this enticing novella. Hurricane Season is definitely a book lovers of the shape-shifting genre should read.
