"WHEN HE WAS BAD is magically original with blazingly scorching storylines and characters who will long be remembered."

Sexy alpha men and spirited woman featured in fascinating personal stories make this book totally compelling during every thrilling scene. Shelly Laurenston and Cynthia Eden have written about characters who are different in nature yet depict genuine and sincere reactions when confronted with unfamiliar feelings. These noteworthy authors give readers two mesmerizing stories packed with emotion, adventure and plenty of steamy sex.

“Miss Congeniality” by Shelly Laurenston

Although he is a successful businessman with a winning personality and always has females vying for his attention, shifter Niles Van Holtz cannot get college professor and biophysicist Irene Conridge to truly notice him. With his important status in the wolf clan and the human community, Van is often able to attend social gatherings where Irene is trying to raise money for her small college. When their paths cross, and he always makes certain they do, her condescending comments only add fuel to his determination to learn more about this intriguing woman. Irene is only interested in academics with no emotional involvements, and her research has attracted the notice of people with unscrupulous views. When this danger leads to Irene spending more time around Van for her own safety, he plans to break through her icy behavior with some of his own personal heat.

Creatively original characters always highlight a story by Shelly Laurenston, and this enjoyable paranormal tale emphasizes her resourceful talent. The differences between Van and Irene are off the scale, and the intelligent banter between these characters is sharp yet frequently humorous. They are both strong-willed individuals, and this couple is a delight to watch when their emotions surprisingly surface. When threats arise, Ms. Laurenston portrays the inner strong points of Van and Irene in detail, showing readers exactly how these characters think and react. There are aspects pertaining to the time period sprinkled throughout, making the story even more fun. “Miss Congeniality” is a sizzling romance filled with distinctive narrative and believably engaging characters to keep one thoroughly entertained. 4.5 Stars http://www.shellylaurenston.com/

“Wicked Ways” by Cynthia Eden

After having talked to the man for a couple of months, Miranda Shaw is disappointed in their uninteresting first date at a restaurant. When they get to her home afterwards, things rapidly turn bizarre when he tries to bite her neck with his surprisingly long fangs. She believes escape is hopeless until her new neighbor burst through her front door and demands the vampire leave her alone.

Cain Lawson has been fantasizing about the woman living next to him from the moment he first met her, and he planned to take time in getting to know Miranda better before making any type of move. However, with the sadistic vampire having set his sights on her, Cain feels his shifter abilities make him qualified to protect this appealing female and he offers his help. As Miranda becomes closer to her neighbor, she begins to comprehend many startling facts about what actually does exist alongside humans.

The ability to construct convincingly plausible worlds makes the stories penned by Cynthia Eden imaginatively innovative. Also, Ms. Eden knows how to create deliciously yummy heroes, and Cain is a prime example. From the instant he charges onto the scene, he captured my heart with his forceful yet compassionate disposition. Miranda is charmingly likable, too, and her feisty temperament had me cheering her on at times. Numerous circumstances in the story are heightened by the unanticipated incidents, where dangerous threats continuously crop up. The supernatural beings are well-described, and their realistic behavior is always credible. With the heartfelt feelings between Cain and Miranda, their more intimate moments are packed with sensuality plus tenderness. “Wicked Ways” is instantly entrancing from the first attention-grabbing scene and will keep readers highly anticipating every engaging word. 5 Stars http://www.cynthiaeden.com/
