Authors, add your free read. Review: Mating Stone by Elyssa Edwards
When Sarah first met Mark Ursine when he stopped to help her change a blown tire, she could never have imagined how much her life would quickly change. From the time she had dinner with him the next day, Mark seemed to be very perceptive to her needs and goes about fulfilling them to the best of his ability. Sarah has never had anyone be this attentive to her before and she finds herself growing very fond of this thoughtful man, especially when the words he speaks to her seem so genuine. Even though they have not been dating too long, Mark has told her of his wish for her to meet his family and plans are formed. After arriving to pick Sarah up and take her to a party being held at the home of his relatives, Mark says he has something to give her before they leave. When the gift turns out to be a gorgeous amethyst on a chain, she is told this is the traditional way his family proposes to the one whom they desire to always be in their life. Although he tells Sarah he wants her, Mark wishes for her to meet his family before giving him an answer. When they arrive at the party, secrets about Mark’s heritage are disclosed to Sarah. Now they both must make decisions about whether their love is strong enough for them to be together, regardless of what they may lose or the truth they have to face. For her new series, Elyssa Edwards crafts a tale where shape-shifters can seem totally normal yet their lives are definitely fascinating. Ms. Edwards takes the paranormal element of being able to change shapes and tells readers a captivating love story with often poignant emotions. Mark and Sarah are a charming couple with their devotion to each other particularly apparent through their actions and words. With tenderness and passion, this couple expresses how they truly feel for each other, and these sentiments are beautifully shown in numerous ways. The inner feelings of these two come across in a powerful way, whether they are reacting with each other or with another being. There are some disclosures which I found to be intriguing, and each one adds a compelling aspect throughout the story. The only problem with the story is I wish it had been longer as this world fascinates me, but I hope to hear more about this couple and those around them when additional books in the series are released. MATING STONE is a magical story with original characters and an engaging plot to keep readers thoroughly entertained.
