Crawling on her stomach covered in grass was not how Tate Cooper expected to spend her time visiting her mother, but when she finds herself looking up at the most stunning man she has ever met, who is not shy about finding humor in her folly, she knows  she is in trouble.  It doesn’t help when James Bowen takes off his jacket and she eyes the tattoos that caress his skin, she knows he is bad boy to the extreme.   When James makes his interest in her obvious, she knows that he is not a happily ever after.  With the weight of the world on her shoulders with a failing restaurant, neurotic mother, and an email stalker threatening her on a daily basis, she needs a little distraction and offers a no strings affair while they both are visiting their parents.

James has never reacted to a woman the way he has to Tate,  he wants her but not  just for a fling.  He quickly decides to agree but plans to prove her stereotypes wrong, one by one.   Tate gives him every argument in the book to try and dissuade his interest, but James can match every argument with proof he is well worth her investment.
