Finn Garrison spends his days teaching swimming to water phobics, finding sunken treasures and helping to rehabilitate wildlife, as well as serving as a jurist for the Superpowers.  His latest case is turning out to be more than anyone expected.  Serving as juror for the Water Court, Finn never expected to have his life in danger but when someone eliminates two jurors, Finn looks like he is next.  The court assigns him a Water Marshal bodyguard.

Ty Anglin knows he is a good Water Marshal and does not want to be a bodyguard to anyone.  When he meets Finn, Ty has to revise his opinion when he finds Finn to be more than expected.  Suddenly his protective instincts are roused and he has saved Finn from several attempts.  Both men soon realize that there is more here than expected.

The Elemental Superpower tales are a delight to read.  Excellent stories, fantastic characters and clever plots twists make The Blancmange one story you will not want to put down.  We also return to The Cupcake (Elemental Superpowers 1) characters as well and we find some new exquisite cupcakes.  I know I wish we had one of those stores near me.   The side characters are wonderfully well developed and their quirks turn out to be so much more than just quirks.  As the actions heats up, we find ourselves rooting for a satisfying conclusion.  A.J. Llewellyn and Serena Yates do not disappoint us but have left themselves with the need for a special cupcake to help with the next story in this series.  The Blancmange will be hard to top but A.J. Llewellyn and Serena Yates are up to that task.
