Review: Slick Rock Cowboys by Becca Van

"Heartbreaking story about Tara who has had a long string of bad luck finally getting her chance at happiness."

With the last tie to her past destroyed in front of her, Tara Rustle jumps on a bus and heads to the only place she felt safe, Slick Rock.  Clay and Johnny Morten can’t believe the woman passed out in front of them is none other than Tara, the girl who got away.  When she wakes up and can’t recall who she is, Johnny and Clay are determined to help her recover and then do everything they can to win her heart.

Heartbreaking story about Tara who has had a long string of bad luck finally getting her chance at happiness.  Tara has to deal with misconceptions from the past regarding Johnny and Clay, who she never stopped loving, in order to move forward.  I liked that Clay and Johnny, who are alpha males, don’t seem to know how to handle Tara and stumble a bit before earning her trust. Intriguing read.
