Trying to regain her confidence after realizing she has allowed herself to be a doormat for the men in her life, Elise takes a different route to finding herself again by accepting a date with her boss Adam Roberts.  Deciding to take the lead, she tries to have an affair without the emotional attachment, she had not planned to fall hard for Adam and when she crosses a professional line, she realizes he may never forgive her.

An emotional read, you feel for Elise as she tries to keep her feelings harnessed closely.  Adam is hard to read, but you see glimpses of his desire for Elise and his hopes to move past the lovers stigma she has set in their relationship.  A fascinating story.
