Review: Perfect Timing by Aimee Brissay

"Aimee Brissay has a few exciting surprises for the reader in the pages of Perfect Timing."

Valentin Alekseev is too tired to run any more.  A vampire, he is on the run from other vampires who murdered his coven.  Now, alone and tired, he stops to rest for a bit in a local pub.  He is surprised to feel an instant attraction to a man who enters the pub later.  What he should know but can no longer tell is that the man is a shifter.

Shawn Dougal, a therian, is also surprised when he feels an attraction to the vampire sitting alone.  First he is straight and second, a vampire should not be trespassing on pride lands.  When his brother attacks him outside the pub, Valentin jumps in and helps him.  The two wind up fleeing with the vampires after Valentin in hot pursuit.  When Valentin is captured, Shawn has to decide if he wants to storm an old castle to save him.

Perfect Timing turns out to be an incredible read.  You think you know what will happen next and then you are surprised by what actually happens.  Strong paranormal entities haunt Perfect Timing with fear and terror.  Yet we cannot help but fall love with Shawn and Valentin. Shawn had never been with a man before but embraced his love with Valentin with dedication, enthusiasm and endearing delight.  Valentin was understandably reluctant.  He did not want Shawn hurt because of him.  However, Shawn would not allow him to shut him out.  These two were amazing together.  The vampires at the old castle were definitely someone you would not want to meet in the dark and finally, the ending was perfect with just the right twist.  Excellent from beginning to end, you do not want to miss Perfect Timing from Aimee Brissay.
