If you love werewolves, scorching hot sex, hysterically funny, but very real  family squabbles and foibles, and a love so hot and intense that your toes will curl, you must immediately order  this amazing story  Fated; Cascadia Wolves Series written by the fabulous Lauren Dane.

This is my first exposure to the Cascadia Wolves Series, and I had been worried that I would not be familiar enough with the cast of characters to understand what may be happening within the storyline. I worried for naught because this story absolutely stands alone whether or not you have read the preceding books. However, I am planning on immediately ordering the earlier books in this series because of how wonderful and original this storyline is. I am completely blown away by the fun, sex, family dynamics, and  original ideas  that Lauren Dane has  conceived  for this  series.

Megan is on her way to a family wedding. Since her family consists of a large pack of  Werewolf Alpha Males, and very strong minded female wolves, Megan, as an unmated enforcer, never seems to get any rest, nor a break from her family’s expectations of what she should be doing with her life; mainly that she should be mated by now, and should willingly  allow the men in the family to “watch over” her, which means rule her life as far as Megan is concerned.

Finally arriving at the hotel where the wedding party is staying, Megan checks into her hotel room, and eventually heads to the swimming pool. Unable to escape even at the pool, Megan soon finds herself helping with party favors by tying small pieces of tulle together with ribbon after putting 3 or 4 nuts inside. How much worse can it become for a female werewolf enforcer than to be sitting around playing with tulle, nuts and ribbons? Megan is soon to find out!

Eager to escape her family Megan agrees to go pick up an arriving  half human, half werewolf physician at the airport who is coming for the wedding. Having some spare time before Dr. Shane  Rosario arrives, Megan stops in  an airport bar to pass the time with a drink and to watch the Dodger’s ballgame.  Meanwhile,  Shane’s plane has arrived early, and he sees Megan sitting alone at the bar. Instantly attracted to her, he goes to the chair next to her and strikes up a conversation. Megan is strongly drawn to the handsome physician, and they eagerly head back to the hotel together. Once into Megan’s hotel room they realize that they  have a “Mate Bond”, which means married in the werewolf world. Both are shocked, but pleased at this wonderful development.  This is the beginning of some of the hottest sexual escapes that this reviewer has read in a long time. To say that werewolves really know “how to get it on” is an understatement. Once acknowledging the bond, there is no turning back for Megan, but Shane has a lot of baggage coming from his human mother who hated Shane’s “otherness”.

Can a half human werewolf physician  and a female werewolf enforcer make this relationship work? Shane fears his feelings for Megan, and is reluctant to give up his lifestyle, and his medical practice in Las Vegas. Megan is willing to try to make the bonding work, but difficulties arise as Shane tries to deal with his otherness, and a mate who is totally werewolf.

I adore this story. The angst, and yet the love and adventure that this couple experiences are just the stuff of dreams, with perhaps a few nightmares included! How Shane and Megan work on their issues, and overcome threats to their union and their safety will keep the reader glued to the pages. I recommend starting reading early in the evening so that you will not be up all night finishing this riveting story as I was. The humor will have you laughing,  the love will bring tears, and the adventure will keep anyone awake until this story is finished. I am planning on reading my  way through the entire series. If they are all as fabulous as this story is, then I am in for many sleepless nights, and I cannot wait!! Congratulations, Ms. Dane, this is a fabulous story!
