Review: Runaways by Lex Valentine
On the train between Prague to Paris, the vampire Dante Ducoin meets werewolf Ranulf Verlaine. It is lust at first sight. She mates with Ranulf, but tells him that her family responsibilities will prevent her from being with him. Ranulf convinces her to run away with him to New York. They both have families to answer to but Ranulf convinces Dante that what they feel for each other is more important. At first Dante refuses, but she knows she cannot live without him. Can they find happiness in the Big Apple?
Griffin, drawn by his need to be with Ranulf, wants the truth. Griffin knows he is doomed without Ranulf, but he will let his lover go if he found his true mate. When Griffin meets Dante, however, the attraction is instantaneous. Griffin never understood why Ranulf, the man he loves, never showed signs of being his true mate. Could Dante be the missing link that will bind Ranulf and Griffin together at last?
Lex Valentine spins a tale of that pits family and business responsibilities against mating lust. Ms. Valentine tells a story with enough plot twists to keep the reader breathless. Ranulf and Griffin love each other, but are not true mates. Toss in a beautiful woman and the juices really start to flow. Griffin and Ranulf run a business together. Dante works for her family business. The trio forgets all about business when the mating lust takes over their lives. Will Ranulf, Griffin and Dante find the happiness they seek?
