Lark Zacaro and Derek Carlson were partners together in the Intergalactic Investigations Bureau.  Lark wanted so much more but Derek wanted things to remain business as usual.  Then someone in the IIB set them up and Lark was forced to abandon Derek and leave him with the enemy.  When Derek was rescued, he bought the story told him that Lark had betrayed him and left him to die.

Now six months later, Lark is on a deep cover mission while Derek, after resigning from IIB, is on a search and rescue mission.  When the two meet again, the desire between them cannot be denied, but each wants something from the other.  Lark wants off the planet while Derek wants to know the whole truth behind what happened.  Their very lives may depend on trusting one another, but the past may keep them from doing just that.

Lark and Derek were dealt a raw deal by the employers and both are just now beginning to realize the depth of the betrayal.  Lark felt he was sent to the planet to die while Derek left the service, feeling betrayed and broken.  Meeting in these unusual circumstances brings out some needs that neither satisfied before.  Together in bed and out may be the only way they may survive the coming turmoil.

These two heroes will really tug at your heart strings.  Each damaged by IIB, neither is quite sure why and who to believe and trust.  The story has just begun and promises to be excellent.  I know I cannot wait for Galactic Betrayal 2.   Silvia Violet ha started another new series that has promise, excitement and above all some hot loving.  Be warned though, Abandoned does some have some brutally hot scenes.  Pick it up, enjoy but have a nice cold drink nearby.
