Cain Howell, a lynx shifter, is determined to find his brother’s killer.  On the trail, Cain finds the murderer but is unhappy to realize his mate is the area as well, especially since it means the murderer got away.  Tate, half fae and half butterfly shifter, is on a trail as well and finding Cain is not in his agenda either.  Spark between the two fly and neither wants to give into the fated-mate bond, but circumstance, like a killer after Cain, force their hands and Tate must call on little used powers to save them both.

Em Woods is a master at taking the seemingly impossible and making it work.  In Flying High, a lynx is mated with a butterfly while that butterfly is also half fae – most unusual combinations. But they work beautifully.  Tae and Cain are well developed likeable heroes who have some work ahead of them as they work our their fated-mate bond.  The two have the same goal and together they work to achieve it.  Unusual, well-written, paranormal and MM loving – Flying High by Em Woods has it all.  Delightful reading from beginning to end, don’t just add Flying High to your list, buy it and be prepared to be amazed and delighted.
