When erotic romance writer Katya gets writer’s block because one of her characters refuses to follow along with her plans, her roommate and psychology PhD candidate, Jen, decides to contact the character via a Ouija board. Jen feels that the character is some part of Katya’s subconscious trying to escape. Jason Bell is Katya’s nemisis and refuses to do what she wants, making it difficult for her to complete the book due to her editor in mere hours. Imagine both of their surprise when Jason tells them to “summon me”.
Convinced nothing will really happen, they conduct the summoning ritual as prescribed by Jason and then watch out! Jen comes face to face with the man she’s secretly attracted to. Can she occupy Jason while Katya finishes her story? What will happen to them once Jen works out The Jason Factor?
Wow! Amelia June has certainly hit the nail on the head with this story. Compact, yet entertaining, the reader is introduced to the characters and quickly learns just what Katya and Jen are after. Jason is the epitome of a womanizing hero yet is also endearingly attractive in his desire to remain alive. I truly enjoyed the fact that Katya was a lesbian and therefore immune to his charms while Jen and her desires proved to be the perfect solution to all of their problems. Pick up The Jason Factor if you want a short, yet tantalizing read that will definitely get your imagination working!
